Cookie & Tracking Policy
This policy explains how yalgar.com uses cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies, what each category does, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy & Intellectual Property Protection statement.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to yalgar.com and related digital properties operated by Yalgar Consulting Company, a registered trade name of Factzz Media LLC. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to or to client systems we may be granted access to during an engagement.
2. Technologies We Use
We use three categories of technology:
- Strictly necessary / functional— first-party browser storage that stores your in-progress form drafts so work is not lost if you navigate away.
- Analytics and performance— aggregate measurement of page views and Core Web Vitals.
- Visitor identification— a third-party script that associates your visit with publicly available business contact records.
We do not run an advertising network, a data broker feed, or cross-site retargeting on this domain.
3. Website Visitor Identification
We load a visitor identification script from our provider, GetLeads, on every page. It collects your IP address, the pages you view, the site you arrived from, and your approximate location, and transmits that data to the provider. The provider compares it against its own database of business contact records.
Where a match is found, we receive personal information you did not give us directly — typically your name, work email address, employer, job title, and professional profile links. We use it to contact you about our services and store it in our sales and marketing systems.
Under some privacy laws this activity may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or as targeted advertising. You can stop it at any time — see section 7.
4. Analytics & Performance
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate traffic volume and page performance. These tools are designed to operate without advertising cookies or cross-site identifiers, and the data they produce is reported to us in aggregate rather than as individual visitor profiles.
5. Local Storage & Form Drafts
Our contact form and vendor qualification form save your in-progress entries to your own browser using local storage, so that an accidental reload or navigation does not erase your work. This data stays in your browser, is not transmitted until you submit the form, and can be cleared at any time by clearing site data. Clearing it will delete your saved draft.
6. What We Do Not Use
This site does not deploy:
- Advertising or retargeting pixels (including Google Ads or Meta).
- Google Analytics or other third-party session-replay tools.
- Cross-device identity graphs or data-broker enrichment beyond our visitor identification provider.
- Social media tracking widgets embedded in page content.
7. Managing Your Preferences
You can limit tracking in several ways:
- Email privacy@yalgar.com to request that we suppress visitor identification for your address and delete any record we hold.
- Block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.
- Use a content blocker or privacy extension that prevents third-party scripts.
- Browse in a private window, which discards local storage when closed.
Blocking strictly necessary storage may break form drafting. Blocking the visitor identification script does not restrict your access to any content on this site.
8. Browser Privacy Signals
Where your browser transmits a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or similar legally recognised opt-out preference signal, we honour it for the sale or sharing of personal information to the extent required by applicable law. Because Do Not Track is not uniformly defined, we do not rely on it alone; the request route in section 7 is always available.
9. Retention
Aggregate analytics data is retained per our provider defaults. Identified visitor records are retained in our sales and marketing systems only as long as needed for the purpose collected, unless a longer period is required by law or by an active engagement. Form drafts remain in your browser until you submit, clear them, or your browser removes them.
10. Changes to This Policy
We will update this page and its effective date whenever we add, remove, or materially change a tracking technology. We encourage you to review it periodically.
